Hangklip Caves

Hangklip Caves
In the back of Hangklip is a special place. Its called the Leopard Cave, for way back in the 80`s a leopard used to live here. Cape Mountain Leopards sill live here in these mountains. Every once in a while a camera trap captures a good image.

Explore this amazing cave complex. It has everything. A great overhang to watch the sea in the distance, a beautiful peacful Milkwood tree glade containing trees well over 500 years old, and a cave, filled with bats, stretching down below you, with nookies and crannies and light seeping through the gaps.

The bats fly around your head, and its possible to be eyeball to eyeball with horseshoe bats as they roost in this cave. Its a special experience.
As this is a hidden place, and unknown to the tourist industry, the PDF attached, is unlocked after a small fee is paid. The PDF contains full details on how to get to this incredible place along with other fascinating information about the area.
