Hout Bay
Hout Bay beach is well used by the locals, particularly for Dog walking. It looks towards the sentinel mountain which guards the bay. At the harbour there are a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, and stores, and a walk from here along the beach is enjoyable.

Another option is to visit the Spur Restaurant at the other end, which is situated with a sea view, almost on the sand. The Spur is a family orientated restaurant chain found throughout South Africa. Its excellent for travellers on a budget or families of all ages, providing great meals at a great price.

This beach is very close to the `Chapmans Peak Drive` which is a must-do for first time visitors to Cape Town.
