Smitswinkel Bay

Smitswinkel Bay
Smitswinkel Bay Beach is a unique beach. The only beach that you will have to walk a reasonable distance. About fifty minute drive from Cape Town, its a little grouping of housing, down on the coast around a pretty bay, with spectacular mountains in the distance. The houses are rustic, and as there is no road to them, are out of the way. Dogs may bark at you when you come and visit but they are friendly. There are red fishing boats pulled up on the beach, and the beach is swimmable. Facing east this place is great for a sunrise swim. The water is pleasant and the granite rocks make it extremely beautiful. The beach is isolated and unique.
A Map is provided at the bottom of this page, which enables you to find this beautiful beach.
