The Pool that makes us Happy

The Pool that makes us Happy
The Happy Pool, is a beautiful mountain pool, hidden in a valley just over an hours drive out of Cape Town. This is a spectacular wine making area, with other tourist activities that you can do in the area. The pool is found by winding up into the mountains by road and can be reached by a short walk into the mountains.

When you apply for a permit into this region, you also gain access to a longer walk which will take you about five hours to complete (there and back) and will enable you to find other beautiful spots in the region.

This is a great hike to do beween the months of December to March where its great to swim in the region and enjoy the crystal clear, drinkable water that flows down the mountain.

We hope you enjoy exploring this region. Please note times and distances below are for the shortest possible route to the hidden place. The extended route is available if you want to do it but is not compulsory.
